Finally last night the result of the PRA-tests came. We have tested Muffin, Faffa, Wen, Puma and Tarutao and we are happy to tell that they all tested negative for PRA!

The next in line for testing is our new boy S*Feng´s All That I´ve Got AKA Bruno (sia n).

Yesterday I took some cats (and a dog   ) to the vet. Lion-O and Tarutao got their last shots, Bruno and Puma was tested for FIV/FeLV (both negative!) and Faffa was examined and checked with ultrasound. We have been quite sure she was pregnant, but not 100% sure. And she has fooled us a couple of times before so we wanted to know. She has womited some times every day for the last weeks, but she has not looked sick at all. After womiting she could easily eat more    The first time she was pregnant she did not womit at all, and none of our other pregnant girls has done this. So this was totally new for us, and it was good to have her checked. The vet found no reason for her to womit other than the pregnancy. When using the ultrasound we could clearly see one kitten, both his body, his legs and his tale! A tiny little kitten    The vet and I agreed on not looking for other kittens because we wanted to disturb Faffa as little as possible. It´s important that pregnant females do not stress at all, if they do they can in the worst case loose her kittens. This kitten is a one hit wonder from our dear Vasco that died too early. And if there is only one kitten he/she will not go anywhere!

On Thursday last week Finn-Ove and I went by plane to Oslo to pick up our new car. Finally we have a car that suits us and that will make our trips to cat-shows a lot easier!

On Thursday night we visited Kham Yoi in her new home, and she was happy to see us but she had already found her place in her new home. We enjoyed the visit a lot, Kham Yoi´s new "mother" and "father" is really nice people and we are very sure that Kham Yoi will have a wonderful life together with them, Anthea(ragdoll), Stankelbein(sia a var) and the oldest cat in the house, a ragdoll neuter.

The next day we started our road-trip, and our first goal was Malmö to pick up our new boy S*Feng´s All That I´ve Got (sia n). He is a beautiful little chap, and he has the nicest temper ever! Thank you Pia! We continued our trip and after two days we finally came home yesterday night. We were both tired and happy to be home after approx. 2200 km´s on the road. And little Bruno (our new boy´s daily name) was really happy too! We placed him in the cat-room downstairs together with Tao. He is friendly towards her, but she is not so happy to be with him and she hisses to him and beats him with her paw as soon as she has a possibility. Bruno just sits there, blinking at her. In a couple of days they will be great friends and everything will be ok.

We have had a suspicion of Faffa being pregnant, but we have not been sure until last night. There is no doubt, she is definitely pregnant! And we are so happy about this because the father of the litter is Vasco, our dear beautiful boy that died so tragic a short while ago. Now we cross our fingers that everything will be ok with Faffa and her kittens, it would be a fantastic gift to have kittens after dear Vasco. On 21st of April Faffa is on her day 63 in her pregnancy, and we can wait for the kittens to arrive! Faffa´s first litter was born on day 64, maybe this litter will be as well?

After a long and difficult time we now feel that we are back on track again and we are optimistic about the future! Thank you all for your support both on FB, comments to our blog,e-mails and on the forum Siames i Fokus. Your support has made it possible to start to look forward much earlier than we would have managed without support.

I will end this post on our blog with some pics of Bruno

She is now living together with a balinese boy and to ragdolls, one of them are at the same age as Kham Yoi. I guess they will have lot of fun together in the future! And to Kham Yoi´s new mother - we wish you the best of luck!

Tomorrow Cheetara and Wen are moving to a friend of ours, only 15 minutes away. They are included in our breedingprogram for now, the future will show if we want to have litters after them. When the 2 girls have left our home, we only have 6 cats/kittens left, and in April we have plans for Lion-O. If everything goes as planned (does it ever?!) he will move abroad to a breeder and hopefully give some beautiful kittens with an outstanding temper.

The day after tomorrow Finn-Ove and I are going by plane to Oslo to pick up our new car. It´s new for us, but it has reached a considerable age    And after picking the car up, we are going on a real roadtrip! And first of all we are going to the south of Sweden to pick up our new sealpointed siamese boy

Last night I got a message from the family that had picked up Tarutao and Cheetara last Sunday. The girls did not fit in with the family, they were very shy and hide all the time except at night when the family had gone in bed. Ten the girls started playing    They did not use the litter box, they ust used the floor under the sofa and under the closets in the kitchen. The family thought they were so scared that they did not dare to go on it. Both the family and we agreed on that the best for the girls would be if they came home again. This afternoon we picked up the girls and we took them out of the cage for a while. Both of them got out of the cage and sniffed at our faces before starting to kiss us. They kissed and kissed and purred like machines. When we came home they walked straight out of the cage and into the first litterbox they saw    After that they greeted the other cats in the house, before trying to succle on daddy. I guess they are ment to be here    We have not received any real and honest requests on the kittens, so we have decided to keep them ourself. Except Lion-O, he´s moving abroad in April if everything goes as planned. So now we have a lot of females and no male to use on them   Luckily the youngest ones are much to young to have a litter yet, but it is not long before Puma is ready. I do not have a clue what to do about that.

We are still grieving over the loss of Vasco and Kikki of course. It will take a while to get over those tragedies. But we have to pull ourselves together and look forward, no mather how hard it is.
