is much better - finally! It sure helps with the right medicine    Well, in fact we do not know if this is the right one but I think so since his eyes are open and there is no discharge from his eyes. But poor little fellow, his medicine has banana flavour added to hide the terrible taste of the antibiotics. It doesn`t help Sparrow, he hates it! But as long as it kill the actual bacteria we are happy. His testes for Herpes, Mycoplasma, Calici and Clamydia was all negative - HURRAH!! The result of the tests for bacteria has not come back yet, but we hope they will come this comming week. Now Sparrow plays toghether with his siblings, he eats and prefer dry food over fresh meat and canned food. And tonight he used the litterbox, this is the first time I have seen him use it! Now all kittens use the litterboxes, and there have not been any pee or poo on the floor today

It seems like this litter is interesting not only for us, we have never had the same amount of requests about any other litter as we have had now. Hopefully the perfect home for every one of the kittens is there among the requests   But the most important for us is that these small ones are going to stay here for several weeks before any of them will move.

Lina is on her day 63 now (Saturday) and I am nervously waiting for the delivery. I am home alone and have the full responsibility for our dear cats, and of course the delivery of Lina`s kittens. It is her first litter and this is my second time alone during the birth. First time was the Bear litter, and then I had to take Puma to the vets. All her kittens were born there, with assistance from Heidi, the clinic nurse. Maybe I should abduct her to my home? Hopefully the kittens will not come during this weekend, since I have to take Lina to the vets in Bodø (80 km drive) if complications occure. I have asked her nicely to please wait with the delivery till Monday, it`s a much better day to give birth than Saturday or Sunday

I have finally updated our website, now it is possible to see pics of the litter not only on FB, but also at our website. It took a few hours, and I have been frustrated, desperate, angry and unhappy during this session. But I WON!!! Hahh, Dreamweaver *pfffhhhhht*      one.com    It gave me a rather high sence of achievement. And some day..... I will be able to do everything that I think is necessary, without tearing the hair of my head and smoking 20 cigarettes. I sure look forward to that day!

Saturday a week ago we attended to a cat show with Vinnie, he has a RX-pedigree and needed to be checked out by 2 judges both his type, his coat and his colour of his fur. His father is SIA ns21 (with silver) and that is not allowed on pointed cats. But he got his approval even if the jugdes did not understand why. And he got his first CAC, he was NOM and BIS. All that is nice and of course we liked it, but the very best thing was Vinnie`s behaviour. Finn-Ove sat on the first row looing at the BIS panel, with Vinnie lieing on his lap. Vinnie did not try to go down from the lap, even Finn-Ove did not hold him. Vinnie lay there looking at the cats being judged and after a while he fell asleep. And I have for some reason been rather sure of Vinnie being stressed in this situation, but he just loved it! And in September he will attend the SWS in Stavanger. We hope for him to get his CAC and that he will cope with the cat show the same way he did on Saturday.

and all are doing fine   We think that 4 of them was born to early, there is a difference in both size and the quality of the fur. The largest ones has a thick fur and are a bit heavier than the small ones. The small ones has a thin fur where we still can see their skin. Falcon, the little boy sadly died. He had some clicking in his chest and he just got weaker and weaker. Freja is doing great as a mum, her babies are wellfed, strong and active already. Today we have taken some pics of them, Freja did not like it so we had to hurry to get pics of every kitten. The quality should have been better. We have had some problems with the sexes of the kittens, I do not understand why this is becoming more and more difficult for each litter? Luckily their dad is red pointed, so the girls have to be torties   In time we will be able to see which of them are girls and which are boys. Right now we are not sure    I really wish we have another breeder nearby who could help us   Freja is seal tabby and some of the kittens (or all) can be tabby as well.

Well, it`s time to show you our precious ones

(N) Bekmørtnans Phoenix (girl?) SIA f(?)(21?) var

(N) Bekmørtnans Shrike (boy?) SIA n(21?) var

(N) Bekmørtnans Sidewinder (girl?) SIA f(?)(21?) var. Her nose is not as dark as her siblings, neither is the edges of her ears

(N) Bekmørtnans Amraam (boy?) SIA n(?)(21?) var. His nose looks to have the same colour as Sidewinder, but the edges of his ears are rather dark

(N) Bekmørtnans Iris-T (Girl) SIA f (21?) var. Her right eye was clogged, we hope that salt water would be enough to keep it open. She is the smallest one

(N) Bekmørtnans Sparrow (Girl ?) SIA f(?) (21?) var. Second smallest kitten. She`s got a small light spot on her nose, and her colour on her nose is lighter than Shrike`s nose

(N) Bekmørtnans Storm Shadow (Boy?) SIA n(?) (21?). I think I can see a lighter spot on the nose, but I am not sure...... Third smallest one

We did really miscalculate the numder of kittens in Freja`s belly    I thought she had 4, my daughter said 6 and my husband said 5. But we were all wrong! Freja has delivered 9 kittens! One of them stillborn, but 8 kittens for a first mother is more than enough! Eveything has gone very well, even if we were ouite anxious about this litter since Freja mated before she got her 3 shot of Alizin. I have prepared my self for complications, and there would not be any live kitten. I was wrong in that too - luckily   This is our largest litter of them all. Now we seem to have 5 girls and 3 boys - we have always had more girls than boys except Faffa`s last litter of one boy

We have one picture, but in a few days we will take pics of every kitten

This afternoon, on Freja`s day 66, she delivered 5 kittens in 50 minutes    There is 2 girls and 3 boys - well at least it looks like this right now. Who knows what we`ll see tomorrow   Since they came in a rush, we have chosen the theme "Missils" for this litter

We will take some pics later, right now the mother and her kittens needs to relax and eat.

The names of the small ones are:

(N) Bekmørtnans Phoenix (girl, 100 gr)

(N) Bekmørtnans Shrike (girl, 105 gr)

(N) Bekmørtnans Sidewinder (boy, 92 gr)

(N) Bekmørtnans Amraam (boy, 82 gr)

(N) Bekmørtnans Falcon (boy, 69 gr)

No. 1 and no. 2 shared the placenta, and so did no. 3 and 4 also. Two pairs of twins    and one single

and we are so sad    Our dear Muffin - FIN*Fercatin Isaber Mufasa JW - has been picked up of his new slaves Birgit and Kjell. Muffin will live together with Riko, an OSH c boy who`s 3 years old and Birgit, Kjell and their son. They live in the countryside in Hamarøy, and Muffin and Riko will have the opportunity to go outside to explore the exciting world with birds, mice, trees to climb in and large areas to run on. We think that Muffin will have a super life and that he will enjoy the great outdoors. This is the best life for him, we can not offer him such a life, but he will be terrible missed  both by us on two legs, Ellie the dog and our cats This was harder than I thought it would be............

She has the sweetest tummy ever, not a large one and there may be 3 as we could see at the vets. But a litter of 3 for a first time mother it`s ok, it will be easier for her. Today it is her day 56 today, not long now! Finn-Ove took a pic of her this afternoon

All went well with Muffin today, he is now officially a neuter   A have got a text message from his new mother, and she is so looking forward to pick him up

Prille and Bart is settling in with their new families, and they knows how to charm their new companions

Tomorrow we are off to the vet`s, I think this is something like our home away from home    We are bringing 3 of the cats - Puma, Løven and Muffin. Puma & Løven(Lion-O) are going to check out how much they weigh since we have decided to treat them a 3rd time with Ronidazole. This decision did not come easy, we have discussed it for a time and read more about the treatment for TF. There was two heavy arguments for doing this a third time, the first is that we have discovered that the weights of the cats for the first treatment was not accurate. They were treated with a dose that was not high enough, and that can be the reason why they did not get rid of this the first time. Our cats was devided into 3 groups when testing after the first time except Prille and Freja who was tested one and one. Puma and Muffin was one group, Bart and Honeybump another and Vinnie, Løven and Lina in the third group. All three groups tested positive, but there is a possibility that only one of the cats in each group was positive and hat might be Løven, Puma and Honeybump. In the sample for Honeybump and Bart it was nearly positive and the second time around may have killed the paracites. In the second treatment with Ronidazole I got the medicine from another breeder and we made the capsules ourselves. But the Ronidazole was only 10%   and that could be the reason Puma and Løven still has this shit. So we`ll try again, and we are crossing our fingers for a success this time! We are going to import Ronidazole from USA this time

Muffin is going to the vets for his annual vaccine, a health certificate and to be neutered. Last week we had a visit of a couple who have a lavender oriental boy on 3 years, his companion died a while ago and now they wanted to have another cat. The first oriental cats they have had was a balinese, and they are so in love with this breed that they wanted a balinese this time. Muffin did what he always does when we have visitors, he ran down the stair as fast as he could and greeted them a lot. Birgit, the "mother" of the cats, carried him upstairs   So if everything goes as planned, Muffin will move to his new home this weekend. Oh my we are going to miss this super boy! But he will have a a really nice life together with Riko and his family. They live on the countryside, and the cats are allowed to go outside. We think that will be something Muffin will appreciate a lot, he is so curious and love to follow everything we do.

Freja has a rounded, sweet tummy and Saturday is her day no. 60. So sometime next week we could have kittens again! I do not think she has more than 4, maybe only 3 even her belly is at the same size on both sides. But a litter of 3 or 4 is nice for a first time mother.

Today it was time for my biggest challenge for several years    I have been at Oslo Airport Gardermoen to deliver Prille and Bart to their new owners. Thanks to good help from the staff at the airport in Bodø and at Gardermoen, I managed what I was supposed to do. So now the boys are sleeping in their new homes, we wish both the boys and their new families the best of luck and a happy, long life together!

It seems like Muffin also has got a new home, he will move next weekend if everything goes as planned. Time will show
